Guns Up Foundation – THE LODGE
Our hunts take place near Richvale, California, in the heart of the Pacific Flyway. Known as
one of the premier migration corridors in North America, this region is surrounded by rice
country that provides ideal habitat for ducks and geese throughout the season. The
expansive wetlands and flooded rice fields create an unmatched environment for waterfowl
hunting, offering veterans not only world-class opportunities in the field but also a chance
to connect with the land, wildlife, and each other in a setting that is both restorative and
abundant.
Each hunt concludes back at the lodge, where the focus shifts from the field to fellowship.
Veterans gather around the table to share a hearty meal, swap stories, and enjoy the
camaraderie that makes these trips memorable. Together, we clean gear, prepare
waterfowl, and take part in the traditions that bond hunters across generations. These
moments are just as meaningful as the hunt itself—creating space for laughter, reflection,
and the simple joy of being part of a team again.
